Taking theater to class

How can we use a play in lessons? In how many ways can we explain one learning topic? How can drama class help the internalizing of learning?

Drama education brings creative and activating methods that encourage students’ interest in learning. Thanks to acting – learning through experience – children internalize the subject matter faster and more effectively. Drama education means can therefore enhance not only the teaching of individual learning areas, but especially the development of key competencies.

In the workshop, we will introduce in an interactive way methods and techniques of drama education that can be used in primary and secondary level classes.

Program: 15:00 – 16:00 An introduction to drama education principles 16:00 – 17:30 Drama class methods and techniques and their use in education 17:30 – 19:00 Structuring – the use of drama education resources in a thematic/scenic project

Please bring writing utensils and comfortable clothing (this is a hands-on workshop)
